NIGERIA’S President, Muhammadu Buhari, on Thursday June 4, 2015 left Niger for Chad in continuation of his efforts to garner support and co-operation from the country’s neighbours in the fight against insurgency.
Niger was the first country Buhari visited after he assumed office in May 29, 2015. There he held talks with the President of Niger, Mahamadou Issoufou, who promised to co-operate with Nigeria in the urgent task to end insurgency in the region.
In Chad Buhari is billed to meet with President Idriss Deby to seek coperation of his country on the fight against Boko Haram.
