Former president of Nigeria, Goodluck Jonathan has denied reports making rounds that he has intentions of contesting in the 2019 presidential election.
The report, published by an online medium, alleged that Jonathan declared interest to run for presidency in 2019 in Bayelsa on July 6.
This was debunked by Jonathan’s media aide, Ikechukwu Eze, in a statement.
He said the former president did not make any declaration on 2019 election, either in May or this month.
The former president contested the 2015 presidential election on the platform of the peoples Democratic Party (PDP) against President Muhammadu Buhari of the APC.
