Turkey has sacked 77 governors and over 600 military police, as well as suspending almost 9,000 interior ministry staff.
According to Reuters News Agency,they were removed owing to alleged links with Friday’s failed coup attempt.
The moves comes days after a failed coup attempt the government blames on a “parallel state” led by self-exiled Islamic preacher Fethullah Gulen.
