Mariah Carey wasn’t the only singer to live up to her diva rep at the “VH1 Divas Holiday: Unsilent Night” concert: Carey, Patti LaBelle, Chaka Khan and Vanessa Williams all refused to speak to reporters, but, naturally, posed for pics.
But Diana Gordon — who co-wrote parts of Beyoncé’s “Lemonade,” and also performed — told us about her songwriting process.
“The strangest place that I got inspiration for a song was in the shower,” she mused. “I ran out of the shower dripping wet, butt naked, and just started writing. It does not matter where I am . . . if a thought hits me, I have to stop whatever I am doing and write it down. It seems to be the right thing to do . . . ‘Lemonade’ turned out to be a great hit record.”
