...says He is fully committed to the welfare of Judges
Governor Okezie Ikpeazu has restated the commitment of his administration to the welfare of Judges of the State Judiciary.
The Governor made this pledge this on Monday at Government House Umuahia while presenting a set of brand new SUVs to Judges of the Abia State Judiciary.
Four SUVs were presented today bringing the number of SUVs given to Judges to 17 having presented the first set of 13 some months ago. Ikpeazu assured that all the Judges will receive theirs in due course, describing the Judiciary as a critical arm of government.
Responding, the State Chief Judge, Hon. Justice TA Uzokwe thanked the Governor for what she described as a "fantastic new year gift" and assured that Judges of the State Judiciary will continue to discharge their functions in line with their oaths of office.
Deputy Governor Ude Oko Chukwu, Attorney General, Chief Ume Kalu, SAN, Principal Secretary to the Governor, Engr. Emma Nwabuko and other top aides of the Governor were present at the brief ceremony.
